DCC offers numerous ways to get involved with church life, our ministries, and our outreach programs on a local, national, or international level. Whatever your passion, there is a place for you at DCC! Get to know your fellow members at our weekly fellowship time and Second Hour events. Embrace your creative side in our music programs and Prayer Shawl Ministry. Through Circles, members band together to perform weekly service tasks, while our Commissions plan educational events and parties, help with worship planning and church management, and support our children and youth ministries.
As part of our outreach and mission programs, our members have traveled to New Orleans to assist with the Katrina cleanup, gone to Belize to help with a school, and gone to Honduras to assist with medical care. DCC has a Sister Parish relationship with a church in San Antonio Cunen, Guatemala; through annual visits and continuing contact we share our stories and offer support for one another. DCC is closely tied with SHELTER, Inc., Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, and Contra Costa Interfaith Housing, organizations that serve homeless and people in distress in Contra Costa County. DCC hosts PFLAG meetings (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays), Narcotics Anonymous, and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
